GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Promote the investigation of Dravet Syndrome and associated epileptic channelopathies.


SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

  • Design a coherent research strategy within the Dravet environment that achieve scientific results to help create new therapeutics in less than 5 years and a cure in less than 10-15 years, the latter being understood as a cure to eradicate seizures or to greatly improve the controlling of most Dravet cases.
  • Design of scientific projects that allows for closer investigation into the illness and from that, gain knowledge to reached a short term cure.
  • Establish patterns of co-operation, both interdisciplinary and inter-centre within the scientific projects to improve resources and enhance the value of awareness, transference of technology and knowledge.
  • Establish interrelations with other international projects.


TASKS

  • Management of scientific projects. The establishment, co-ordination and monitoring of these projects.
  • Search for new research possibilities.
  • Management and difussion of knowledge.
  • Development of medical documents.
  • Local healthcare fund raising.
  • Preparation of projects' documentation.
  • Provide training, awareness activities.
  • Support other work commissions.
  • Collaboration of future strategic definitions.
