Objetives
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Promote the investigation of Dravet Syndrome and associated epileptic channelopathies.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE
- Design a coherent research strategy within the Dravet environment that achieve scientific results to help create new therapeutics in less than 5 years and a cure in less than 10-15 years, the latter being understood as a cure to eradicate seizures or to greatly improve the controlling of most Dravet cases.
- Design of scientific projects that allows for closer investigation into the illness and from that, gain knowledge to reached a short term cure.
- Establish patterns of co-operation, both interdisciplinary and inter-centre within the scientific projects to improve resources and enhance the value of awareness, transference of technology and knowledge.
- Establish interrelations with other international projects.
TASKS
- Management of scientific projects. The establishment, co-ordination and monitoring of these projects.
- Search for new research possibilities.
- Management and difussion of knowledge.
- Development of medical documents.
- Local healthcare fund raising.
- Preparation of projects' documentation.
- Provide training, awareness activities.
- Support other work commissions.
- Collaboration of future strategic definitions.
